5 Recipes That Will Make Your Thanksgiving Addictively Healthy

This “Thanksliving” I was inspired by Mind Body Green mention the idea of having a functional feast. ✨🌿 I fell in love with the concept of preparing recipes that way go wayy beyond healthy, designed to heal the body in addition to nourishing the soul, and I jetted on over to the website to get to testing everythanggg out.

After compiling my (actually really magical) faves from the site, adding a Tofurky for good measure and going twinkle-toes ✨ through the grocery store at 10:30pm last night, I taste-tested everything from Addictive Sage & Walnut Roasted Butternut Squash to Kombucha Cider Spritzers from 630am-1pm this afternoon. And I can confidently say, I am going to blow this thanksgiving away. 😏

The recipes I settled on from Mind Body Green turned out to be SOO outrageously good I felt it would be a crime not to share; so I’ve compiled them all neatly together here for any of you last-minute Thanksgiving prep peeps! I’ll be cheffin’ all these up alongside some of the traditional faves such as mashed potatoes with gravy, corn and cranberry sauce!

Thanksgiving Cranberry Cocktail

Prepare to get weird. There is no way you’re having just one.

To ensure my cocktail was cruelty-free, I opted for replacing honey with agave in this delish drink.

Ginger Cider Spritz That Gets Its Kick From Kombucha

Ginger Kombucha

The girl that developed this mocktail is a genius, I swear.

I went for GT’s organic & raw Hibiscus Ginger Kombucha instead of the original ginger flavor; the purple hue complimented the array of color on my plate to add a touch of something enchanting.

Brussels Sprouts

Here’s a brussels sprout salad that’s more Thanksgiving than you imagined. My recommendations? Absolutely toast the pine nuts, and use pomegranate in place of the dried cranberries. Dang does this dish sing!

Of course I left the cheese out of this recipe, although there are several delicious dairy-free cheese options available at grocery stores nationwide. Your best bet is to take a peek in the refrigerated organic section.

Inflammation-Reducing Sage & Walnut Roasted Butternut Squash Everyone In Your Family Will Be Addicted To

Butternut Squash

How is it so simple…but it tastes soooo gooood???  It’s like a holiday symphony, played right on your palette.

Vegan Sticky Date Cake

This healthy sticky date cake is absolutely scrumptious. I wanted to add a touch more color to my plate, so I poured a little (not so healthy) raspberry buttercream frosting on top with a sprinkle of coconut flakes & crushed pecans.
